Growing up in a ukrainian-russian family in Siberia equipped Katya with two things: the creative spark to make something out of nothing and a love for people and life. An early love for soviet films and a good portion of wanderlust brought her from selling chocolate and gum in the streets of Omsk to 10 years of work experience in advertising. She moved to L.A. to do her master studies in film directing and producing and started to work as a producer in Germany in 2014: first at Optix Hamburg and finally at FoxDevil Films as the head of their Berlin office. Now she works as a freelance film producer, as well as an independent photographer.
